Your additional upstand (to one side) does not have to run all the way along the depth of the unit. If the wall that your unit sits against runs short, ask us to make you a partial upstand. It looks and works much better. Here's an example below:

Can I have a partial upstand on my unit?

It is possible to return an item if you have purchased it by accident or have ordered the wrong type of unit. The unit would need to be completely unused and in its original packaging. You would have to pay for shipping it back and there is normally a re-stocking fee chargeable to you. The fee varies depending on the item, so If you are sure you want to send the item back please call us to arrange.

The simple answer is yes.  We can weld in any sized/shaped hand wash basin into any sized/shaped table. Tell us which you want, where you want it and we'll weld it in.  Let us know as well if you want one or two holes for the taps.  Some people prefer a mixer tap on their hand wash basins!

Can you weld in Hand Wash Basins?

While it is durable, stainless does scratch and can dent. Be careful with knives and knocking it with heavy objects. It also corrodes, so you have to mind what chemicals you use when cleaning. Our blog has a full entry on how to clean your stainless steel furniture without damaging it.

On Centre Tables the underframe (i.e. the legs) are inset to sides, front and rear. On Wall Benches the underframe is inset to a greater distance to the back, to allow for pipes. You can see a diagram on our blog entry specifications of our stainless steel tables.

A cut-out to the rear of the table can be made if you have pipes or cables running down your wall. The cut-out can be of any size and at any point along the rear of the unit.  The upstand now goes around the obstruction, allowing the table to push right against the wall.

What is a ‘Cut-Out to Rear’ in the top?

We certainly do!  Next day delivery is available, but on equipment only.  The price varies because it depends on the weight of the unit being ordered. Call us or email us and we will let you know how much it costs for the unit/s you are after.

Yes we do, but as we have to cross the sea there can be an additional charge. Please contact us so we can provide you with a quote for the item/s you are after.

If you are looking for a specific item that is not listed on the website, it's possible that we just haven't uploaded it to the site yet. Call or email us to get a quote on any piece of equipment by any manufacturer, whether it's on the website or not.

The best way to keep your stainless looking clean and shiny is to wipe it with warm water & soap, and to avoid corrosive materials and rough cloths. But Rob explains it best on our blog: click here to read his entry.

We deliver most of the equipment for sale on this site within 3-5 working days. This can sometimes change depending on stock levels or the destination. If you're looking for delivery to the tip of Cornwall or the far side of Norfolk it can sometimes take a little longer.

With Bespoke Fabrications delivery dates can vary quite a bit because anything can go wrong during manufacture. However on most projects we normally deliver within 15 working days from receipt of order.

It doesn't happen often, but if your unit or piece of equipment has arrived and you think it's damaged you need to contact us immediately. Please take some photos of the damage and the packaging it came in and email them to us straightaway at sales@kitchensolutions.co.uk. We will assess the photos and get back to you asap.

Yes. All prices listed on this website are inclusive of delivery to addresses in mainland UK except the Highlands. If you are looking for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, or any of the Islands, please contact us by phone or email to get a quote.

This refers to the voltage at your premises. Smaller commercial premises and domestic premises tend to use Single Phase. Most commercial and larger premises tend to use Three Phase.

Single phase units should be used when you are sure that your supply is at 230v whereas Three Phase rquires your supply to be at 400v.

If you are unsure you should contact your electrician.

The first thing you should do is contact us to find out if it is still in warranty. If it is in warranty we can call out an engineer to your premises. If the item is found to be faulty then the engineer we send will service the unit free of charge to you. However, if we send an engineer out to you and they find that the fault is with the operator of the machine then this call out, any parts and labour will be chargeable to you.

We have a blog post all about this! Click here to read it

If there is a column in the corner of your room or boxed-out pipes & cables then your table probably wants a corner cut-out.  The table and the upstand now go around the obstruction, allowing your table to sit flush against the wall regardless.

What is a ‘Corner Cut-Out’?

A wall bench has an upstand, and the upstand has a tile return. The tile return allows the upstand of the wall bench to sit at a distance from the wall, literally allowing you to place your kitchen tiles on top of it. The table now looks like it's embedded into the tiles!

What is a ‘Tile Return’?

One of the differences between a Centre Table and a Wall Bench is the Upstand.  The upstand is like a lip or a small splashback along the rear edge of the table that stops any liquids dripping down the back of your table and therefore down the wall. As well as to the rear, we can add upstands to the left, right and front of the table, or even to all edges if that's what you need.

What is an ‘Upstand’?

When you have a sink in a stainless steel top the area immediately around the sink bowl is recessed to prevent water from splashing out of the bowl.

On bespoke units you can choose not to have this. Ask us!
