Kitchen Solutions recently completed a prestigious project for the King Edwards Foundation in Birmingham. Working closely with the foundation and their architects our Design Consultancy team delivered a modern production kitchen using the latest energy efficient equipment. Using layout plans and visualizations we were able to bring the school’s vision to reality. As it was a new build, we had the luxury of having a dedicated dishwash room, cold room freezer room and plenty of storage space. The stars of the show are 3 x 10 grid Rational i-Combi Pro ovens which guarantee uniformity of cooking and the perfect result every time. Via the cloud-based connected cooking platform the school and its caterers have complete overview of the ovens’ performance, chemical costs, HACCP data and menus.
The school wanted the kitchen to be open and appealing to the pupils so we put in a 13 metre long counter with a mix of self serve and assisted serve sections. We also provided some remote grab and go sections for those who did not want a full lunchtime meal offering.
