New Venue New Kitchen!

All over Birmingham and in hospitality circles there is talk of a new venue – possibly an unusal combination of music venue, high street pub, Michelin-star Chef, rave scene and takeaway.  We would like to introduce you to One Star Döner Bar at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath, Birmingham:

What a beautiful thing the kebab is!  We can’t let you into the secrets of the Chef but we can let you in behind the scenes.  We are proud to say we fitted out this new kitchen, this new lab from where Chef Brad Carter is working his magic. 

Apart from the traditional kebab machines we have put some high end energy-efficient cooking and holding equipment into the kitchen.  The twin tank fryer has dual filtration which means they can filter and clean the oil in one pan whilst the other side is still being used.  The oil can be cleaned and back to cooking temperature all at the push of a button in less than five minutes. 

The ventilation canopy is bespoke, as are all other items of stainless steel furniture, designed to make the kitchen flow in the most efficient way.

I’ve worked with KS now for well over 10 years, after completing my Michelin starred restaurant kitchen & maintaining I reached out to them for my new projects immediately, for One Star Döner Bar they were a real help, after solving complications on a complex ductwork system in a grade II listed building & making the service & prep kitchen work in small awkward spaces the overall finish & delivery was perfect, could not be happier with the performance & results, thanks & on to the next together!
